At Valmont®, we’ve been mindful of ESG metrics long before climate change. For nearly 80 years, we’ve been helping growers do more with less. That experience has now extended to vital infrastructure, reliable power and connectivity. We’re proud to report approximately 90% of our total net sales support ESG principles.
From a 10% reduction in carbon emissions per million in revenue to 100% use of low-flow water fixtures in non-production areas, we have very specific environmental goals for 2025. And the results are already starting to show, such as reducing energy and normalized emissions by 43% and combustion fuel mobile-source emissions by 27%.
We are committed to illuminating at least 90% of our manufacturing facilities with 90% LEDs by the end of 2023. This initiative will reduce costs and carbon emissions while providing a safer working environment for our employees.
Our Green Teams continue to highlight not only global innovation, but also employee engagement. Eighty-four cross-functional teams monitor energy and resource use at their individual locations to improve conservation performance.
