Myths about the Longest Span in the Industry

A longer span means more weight, which means deeper wheel tracks.	Wheel tracks are affected by ground pressure (the tire pressure, plus 2 PSI, plus the tire width and tread style), not the span weight. Span weight for the 66,7 meter span is similar to shorter spans.
Higher sensitivity to wind resistance	Valley engineers simulate high winds by tipping the span until it rolls over. The performance of these spans was equivalent to shorter spans.
